Becoming Rain... A Review!

I'm back! Yes, with another review! It's been about three weeks since I finished Becoming Rain by the lovely wonderful K.A. Tucker and I must say I loved this book as much as Burying Water! For those of you who don't know Becoming Rain is the second book in Tuckers Burying Water Series, it's a suspenseful new adult romance novel that will leave you absolutely begging for more! It took me two days to finish this book! I literally couldn't put it down!

Becoming Rain by K.A. Tucker
Amazon  | Barnes & Noble | Books A Million

A suspense-driven New Adult romance novel from the USA TODAY bestselling author of Ten Tiny Breaths and Burying Water.

Luke Boone doesn't know exactly what his uncle Rust is involved in but he wants in on it—the cars, the money, the women. And it looks like he's finally getting his wish. When Rust hands him the managerial keys to the garage, they come with a second set—one that opens up the door to tons of cash and opportunity. Though it's not exactly legal, Luke's never been one to worry about that sort of thing. Especially when it puts him behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 and onto the radar of gorgeous socialite named Rain.

Clara Bertelli is at the top of her game—at only twenty-six years old, she's one of the most successful undercover officers in the Washington, DC, major crime unit, and she's just been handed a case that could catapult her career and expose one of the West coast's most notorious car theft rings. But, in order to do it, she'll need to go deep undercover as Rain Martines. Her target? The twenty-four-year-old nephew of a key player who appears ready to follow in his uncle's footsteps.

As Clara drifts deeper into the luxurious lifestyle of Rain, and further into the arms of her very attractive and charming target, the lines between right and wrong start to blur, making her wonder if she'll be able to leave it all behind. Or if she'll even want to.

My Thoughts:
*****5 Stars*****
This series just gets better and better in my opinion. It's fast paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. The way the stories intertwine with one another are freaking amazing. I've fallen in love with the world Tucker has built in her novels and wish I could pack up my stuff and move there! It amazes me how up until now I had never even heard of this magical author! Her work is simply amazing.

In this second book we get a closer look at Jesse's best friend/roommate Luke Boone. In Burying Water Luke was portrayed as the womanizing rich boy who only cared about materialistic things in the beginning, but we quickly learned in that novel that he does have a pure heart and how he ultimately does the right things in the end.

I was extremely excited to get to learn more about Luke in Becoming Rain. I knew there was a lot more to him that what we were led to believe and boy I wasn't wrong. Luke is just as lovable as Jesse. He's grown up having everything handed to him on a silver platter so to speak by his Uncle Rust, and while that's all good and fine Luke wants more. Which is why he is so thrilled to accept the keys to his Uncle's garage when he hands them over. But accepting those keys comes another set of keys, keys that will send Luke's life into an epic tailspin. Keys that that will turn his perfect world upside down...Luke was an extremely likable and lovable character. Tucker has such a way with building believable male leads it's astonishing.

Cue undercover police officer Clara Bertelli aka Rain Martines, a beautiful twenty six year old at the top of her game looking to land her dream job with the FBI. It's her job to infiltrate her way into Luke's life. She has to gain his trust to find out if he knows anything about his Uncle Rust's side business stealing cars. Clara has lived a simple life, she hasn't had the privilege of having everything handed to her like Luke had, she's worked hard to build her life and succeed at her career, but this assignment might just shatter her world into a million pieces. Clara takes on a new identity as Rain Martines, a wealthy young socialite still trying to find her way in the world and into Luke Boone's life.

Tucker really raised the stakes with this second installment! Burying Water set the bar pretty high, but this one tops it! I'll say it now and forever, I highly recommend this series! If your looking for something with true love, high stakes, danger, and emotion this is the perfect series for you!
